It was recently announced that Hulu will be releasing a new app to replace their classic version and with that change, older Roku devices will lose the ability to stream Hulu.

The Roku devices that will no longer be supported starting June 24th 2020 includes models 2400 to 3100 (this also includes the Roku streaming stick, models 3420 or earlier). You can still watch Hulu on these older Roku models up until the switch over date.

Another item to note, those with the newer Roku devices (including Roku Ultra, Roku Premiere, Roku Premiere+, Roku Express and Roku Express+) will need to upgrade their devices to firmware version 8.1 or higher to access Hulu’s new app. There is still time to get an updated Roku device so you can keep streaming the Hulu content you love!
